Are you thinking about being more active? Have you been trying to cut back on less healthy foods? Are you starting to eat better and move more but having a hard time sticking with these changes?
Old habits die hard. Changing your habits is a process that involves several stages. Sometimes it takes a while before changes become new habits. And, you may face roadblocks along the way.
Adopting new, healthier habits may protect you from serious health problems like obesity and diabetes. New habits, like healthy eating and regular physical activity, may also help you manage your weight and have more energy. After a while, if you stick with these changes, they may become part of your daily routine.

Contemplation: Are you thinking of making changes?
Making the leap from thinking about change to taking action can be hard and may take time. Asking yourself about the pros (benefits) and cons (things that get in the way) of changing your habits may be helpful. How would life be better if you made some changes?
Think about how the benefits of healthy eating or regular physical activity might relate to your overall health. For example, suppose your blood glucose, also called blood sugar, is a bit high and you have a parent, brother, or sister who has type 2 diabetes. This means you also may develop type 2 diabetes. You may find that it is easier to be physically active and eat healthy knowing that it may help control blood glucose and protect you from a serious disease.

What are the formal requirements a country must meet to claim from the fund? https://english.nepalne
Under the fund’s current pilot phase, known as the Barbados Implementation Modalities, any developing country considered particularly vulnerable to climate change is eligible to apply, with half of the available money reserved for least developed countries and small island developing states specifically.
A request must be country led, meaning it originates from or is endorsed by a national focal point or authority rather than an outside organisation acting alone. It has to go through a defined eleven step cycle that includes a completeness check by the secretariat, a technical review, an opportunity for the country to respond to that review, and finally a vote by the twenty six member board.
Individual grants under this pilot phase are capped between USD five and twenty million, a modest ceiling that was designed to test how the fund operates rather than to fully cover any country’s actual losses. https://english.nepalnews.com/s/explainers/bhote-koshi-flood-can-nepal-get-compensation-from-the-un-backed-loss-and-damage-fund/

Playlist: Bhote Koshi flood: Can Nepal get compensation from the UN-backed Loss and Damage Fund? ht
KATHMANDU: Nepal’s government has filed a formal request with the United Nations’ Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage after the Bhote Koshi flood, triggered by a glacial collapse upstream, killed more than 1,000 people and left thousands more unaccounted for. The Ministry of Finance sent an urgent letter on September 1, warning that the scale of destruction, put at USD four to seven billion dollars, is far beyond what Nepal’s own resources can absorb.
Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal has gone further in public remarks, telling that Nepal’s emissions are negligible and demanding that top emitting nations such as China, the United States and India accept responsibility.
It is Nepal’s first claim on the fund since it came into existence, and it arrives at a moment when the fund itself has yet to pay out a single dollar to anyone.
What exactly has Nepal asked for, and through which channel?
The Nepal government sent two related but distinct communications. The first is a letter from the Ministry of Finance to the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage, known by its acronym FRLD, requesting emergency financial assistance to cope with the Bhote Koshi flood. Finance Ministry officials describe this as a request for a special decision, since the fund’s board does not have losses of this scale on its regular December agenda.
The second communication is a broader climate compensation claim letter sent to Nepal’s international partners, separate from the FRLD process, arguing that major greenhouse gas emitters bear historical responsibility. Foreign Minister Khanal has described this as a shift in diplomatic posture, moving away from framing international support as aid or charity and instead describing it as a matter of legal and moral liability. https://english.nepalnews.com/s/explainers/bhote-koshi-flood-can-nepal-get-compensation-from-the-un-backed-loss-and-damage-fund/

Generative AI, sometimes called gen AI, is artificial intelligence (AI) that can create original content such as text, images, video, audio or software code in response to a user’s prompt or request.
Generative AI relies on sophisticated machine learning models called deep learning models algorithms that simulate the learning and decision-making processes of the human brain. These models work by identifying and encoding the patterns and relationships in huge amounts of data, and then using that information to understand users' natural language requests or questions and respond with relevant new content.
AI has been a hot technology topic for the past decade, but generative AI, and specifically the arrival of ChatGPT in 2022, has thrust AI into worldwide headlines and launched an unprecedented surge of AI innovation and adoption. Generative AI offers enormous productivity benefits for individuals and organizations, and while it also presents very real challenges and risks, businesses are forging ahead, exploring how the technology can improve their internal workflows and enrich their products and services. According to research by the management consulting firm McKinsey, one third of organizations are already using generative AI regularly in at least one business function.¹ Industry analyst Gartner projects more than 80% of organizations will have deployed generative AI applications or used generative AI application programming interfaces (APIs) by 2026.

Healthy diet
Diet plays a critical role in shaping the health and well-being of both individuals and populations, and unhealthy diets are a major risk factor for disease and disability.
Healthy diets help to protect against malnutrition in all its forms, as well as noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), including diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer.
Healthy dietary practices start early in life – breastfeeding fosters healthy growth and improves cognitive development.
Dietary behaviours and preferences established in childhood and adolescence often extend into adulthood.
Healthy diets come in many forms, but the four core principles of adequacy, balance, moderation and diversity should be the foundation of any healthy diet.
A diet must also be safe to be healthy, i.e. free from microbial and chemical contaminants.
A variety of minimally processed and unprocessed foods low in unhealthy fats, free sugars and sodium are the foundation of any healthy diet.

Playlist: Jyotirlinga
As per Siva Mahapuranam, once Brahma (the Hindu God of creation) and Vishnu (the Hindu God of preservation) had an argument in terms of supremacy of creation.[4] To test them, Shiva pierced the three worlds as a huge endless pillar of light, the jyotirlinga. Vishnu and Brahma split their ways to downwards and upwards respectively to find the end of the light in either directions. Brahma lied that he found out the end, while Vishnu conceded his defeat. Shiva appeared as a second pillar of light and cursed Brahma that he would have no place in ceremonies while Vishnu would be worshipped till the end of eternity. The jyotirlinga is the supreme partless reality, out of which Shiva partly appears. The jyotirlinga shrines, thus are places where Shiva appeared as a fiery column of light.[5][6] Originally there were believed to be 64 jyotirlingas while 12 of them are considered to be very auspicious and holy.[4] Each of the twelve jyotirlinga sites take the name of the presiding deity – each considered different manifestation of Shiva.[7] At all these sites, the primary image is lingam representing the beginningless and endless Stambha pillar, symbolizing the infinite nature of Shiva.[7][8][9] The twelve jyotirlinga are Somnath at Veraval in Gujarat, Mallikarjuna at Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh, Mahakaleswar at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh, Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh, Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, Bhimashankar in Maharashtra, Viswanath at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Triambakeshwar in Maharashtra, Baidyanath at Deoghar district in Jharkhand, Nagnath at Dwarka in Gujarat, Rameshwar at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu and Grishneshwar at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra
