Wildlife & Nature Protection Society
The history of wildlife protection in Sri Lanka is almost synonymous with that of the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society of Sri Lanka. At 126 years old, the WNPS is the third oldest Non-governmental Organization of its kind in the World and was responsible for the setting up of Wilpattu & Yala National Parks in Sri Lanka, and for the formation of the Department of Wildlife Conservation

Multi organisation
One of the things that has changed significantly in recent years has been the importance and prevalence of working in organisations of organisations. Whether these are labelled as business partnership, JVs, outsources, collaborations or mergers, there are common issues in working across boundaries. How do you take decisions, ensure accountability, and deliver performance without disadvantaging some parties? How can we recognise the potential of business partnership and actually create the synergy that you went into the arrangement to find? Even when you bring another party inside your organisation in M&A, the results are usually not good – 58% of M&As end up reducing value rather than creating it. Multi–organisational working is not straightforward.
Fractal has a toolkit for designing and managing different aspects of multi-organisational working and we specialise in managing large complex systems of this sort.

Current Issues in the Education of Students with Visual Impairments
Abstract
Increasingly, educators are being challenged to use educational strategies that have been proven to be effective through high-quality research. As could be expected of a low-incidence disability in a field with few researchers, educators of students with visual impairments have limited research-based information to guide practice. The purpose of this chapter is to selectively examine the current state of evidence-based practices for the education of students with visual impairments and to briefly review the context for the evidence-based practice movement. In addition to identifying evidence-based practices and potential evidence-based practices for students with visual impairments, recommendations for advancing the identification of effective practices for students with visual impairments are presented.

Qualitative Data Collection and Instrument Design
Key Method
The educator or district leader determines the necessary qualitative data to collect and also identifies the types of instruments, timeline, and participants involved in the data collection. The educator or district leader reviews publicly available research instruments and uses these to create data collection instruments, such as a survey that includes open-ended questions, one or more interview, or focus group protocol(s) to gather qualitative data from pilot participants.
Method Components
1. Identify the metrics you would like to measure.
The first step in data collection is to explicitly articulate the metrics that need to be collected. Consider the goal or research question involved in this project to identify the appropriate data necessary to answer your question or measure the success of a pilot.

Agri-foodtech solution
Agri-foodtech can help to mend many of these bridges, make the agri-food industry more sustainable, transparent, agile, and able to respond more quickly to changing consumer demands. Issues such as food waste, which occurs across the food chain, can be better solved with a more holistic view of the industry, for example. Viewing agri-food as a single industry that spans the value chain from farm to fork can also help engage consumers early with technologies that go into food production to avoid backlash, and raise awareness of issues on the farm such as soil health and environmental impact.
On the consumer side, companies as diverse as Blue Apron, Heinz, and Costco, are now working directly with growers to address various challenges and opportunities in their own supply chain. On the agriculture side, farming cooperatives like Land O’ Lakes are building powerful food brands, while companies like Soufflet in France have built a portfolio that spans ag retail, grain trading, food processing, consumer packaged goods (CPG) and catering. Similarly, Rabobank started as a farmer’s cooperative but has become the world’s largest food and agriculture-focused bank. We’re also seeing the convergence of agriculture and food in venture capital where VC funds like Avrio Capital and S2G Ventures invest seamlessly across the agri-food value chain.

What is Agri-FoodTech?
Agri-foodtech is the small but growing segment of the startup and venture capital universe that’s aiming to improve or disrupt the global food and agriculture industry. AgFunder coined the term in 2017 to define the innovation taking place across the food supply chain, not just at either end per “agtech” and “foodtech.”
Globally, food and agriculture (agrifood) is a $7.8 trillion industry, responsible for feeding the planet and hiring well over 40% of it. It is also responsible for a large portion of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions; agriculture alone contributes to around one of third of all carbon emissions, without counting the contribution of supply chain processes before it reaches the consumer, such as food processing, transportation, and retail.

eEducation Austria: Digitale Schulentwicklung
Digitale Medien verändern unsere Welt und unser Leben in einem Ausmaß, wie dies zuletzt wohl bei der Einführung des Buchdrucks der Fall war. Current state
Although no Indian forts were destroyed by sudden disasters, there are several which were abandoned due to the ambitions of their rulers and have consequently deteriorated over time. Very few castles have survived unchanged since the early Middle Ages or even since the 14th-15th centuries: most of those built in the 10th-15th centuries were later rebuilt and altered. Castles were still used as living quarters until the 19th-20th centuries, and so were continually modified. Even now, some of them are private property.

Forts in India
Most of the forts in India are actually castles or fortresses. But when the British Government in India were cataloging them in the 17th–19th century they used the word forts as it was common in Britain then. All fortifications whether European or Indian were termed forts. Thereafter this became the common usage in India. In local languages, the fort names are suffixed by local word for fort thus usage of the Sanskrit word durga, or Urdu word qila or the Hindi word garh or gad in Rajasthan, and Maharashtra is common.[1] For example, Suvarnadurg, Mehrangarh, Sudhagad etc. Indian
